Alton, VA. (18 June 08)— Don’t call the Grant family “calendar challenged,” just because they are celebrating Fathers Day one week late.

Synergy Racing will return to Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series competition this weekend in the EMCO Gears Classic as the father-and-two-son driving line up of Milton, Carey, and Kevin Grant will combine for the two hour and forty-five minute race on Saturday afternoon in the No. 71 Courtyard by Mariott-sponsored Porsche GT3.

The Grants, for whom driving is the most popular family activity possible, last raced together in Rolex competition at Synergy Racing’s home track at VIR in April and the trio of racers will look to pick up even more speed and smiles again this weekend at Mid-Ohio.

“We are looking forward to getting back to racing again at Mid-Ohio,” said team principal Cole Scrogham. “We’ve been tremendously busy back at the shop with our Porsche preparation business, and now we are happy to get back to the track again with the Grant family. They are great people and we are excited to have them with us.”

The EMCO Gears Classic will kick off with practice and qualifying on Friday, with the race event slated for a 5:00 PM green flag time on Saturday.
